Launch Your Summer on a Houseboat

The water's really up at all of the lakes and it's promising to be a sweet summer to be out on a houseboat. See you soon!

Bring Your Squirt Guns!

It's a serious accessory on any houseboat trip. What, with all of that water around, squirt guns of all types and colors are a must for crews in search of that extra bit of fun on the lake.

Geared up
This young warrior is set to go with a coordinated life jacket and swim trunks. (egg) Just be careful around the young ones while trying to take pictures.

Tube thrusters
Bring it on with a little more volume from tube thrusters and really get everyone wet. Next to the water slide itself, there is no better way to cool off your crew on a hot summer day than a wet and wild, laughter filled water battle at the lake!

(Cameras are not recommended with tube thruster activities.)

Be a hero
The key is to secretly smuggle enough "toys" aboard for your whole crew to enjoy and then suprise everyone one afternoon with a barrage of your own. (Before handing out the inventory, out of course.)

Then, after you get all the laughs, hand 'em out (grown up's first) and let the fun begin. This is an especially fun activity on the beach between rounds of volleyball.

Throw a Party On The Water

There is nothing better than a birthday party on the water.

I can still remember my favorite birthday~
it was out on the lake with my family.

What's Your Favorite Spot?

Here's what a few avid boaters had to say about their favorite place on a houseboat:

Marlene
"The Captain's fly bridge was our favorite spot. I loved the view when we were cruising the lake in our houseboat. The breeze in my hair and Tom at my side made it all so magical."

George
"My favorite place is not even on the houseboat. (egg) It is floating out on the water, stealing a relaxing bit of time for myself with the sound of the water bumping up against my tube."

Chris
"The hot tub, definately! It was the closest I felt to being a movie star. I had a feeling of opulence as I sat there under the stars enjoying the open sky with the water bubbling around me and not another person in sight except the love of my life, my wife, Sarah."

Darlene
"The fabulous kitchen I used to make some awesome meals. They seemed to like my beef wellington the best. I especially liked having the extra ice maker on the top bridge."

Rusty
"I disagree, the grill is the best spot on the boat. You can cook everything there without a lot of fuss and muss. I even bring an iron skillet and cook my famous (egg) "scrabble" breakfast right there on the open flames."

Forever Resorts

The top 5 uses for the lounge chairs
on the top deck

Those deck chairs on the top deck of a Forever Houseboat can be quite enticing. Whether they're in the shade under the canopy or out in the full summer sun, the only thing missing on them is you.

Here are the "official" top 5 uses for the lounge chairs on the top deck of a houseboat:

Kicking back with a good book in the afternoon while your crew is out on the speed boat. (beverage or book optional)

A great place to lay your towels out in the sun to dry between slides into the water.

Star gazing on a deck chair is much easier on your neck than looking straight up while standing. (beverage or star chart optional)

A place to cool off after too much time in the hot tub at night. Watch the steam rise off of your skin in the moonlight as you sip a cool beverage and relax on your very own lounge chair!

A great place to simulate sleeping while your crew cooks in the kitchen or on the grill. Close enough to smell the work in progress, but remote enough that they might just leave you alone there in peace. (Until the food is served of course.)

Take in the view, relax, and enjoy those deck chairs! (egg)
